Winter is a great time to be in Sydney with mild weather and a temperature range from an average of 8 to 18 degrees Celsius (45 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit). It's also an exciting time to be in Sydney with a season of exciting events. Vivid Sydney is the city's newest public festival of music light and ideas and it transforms The Rocks and Circular Quay into a spectacular living canvas. The biggest event of its kind in the southern hemisphere, the festival has free light art displays as well as a contemporary music and arts program.
